BAFTA 2016, le nomination

Sono state annunciate questa mattina, 8 gennaio, da Stephen Fry e Gugu Mbatha-Raw le nomination relative all’edizione 2016 dei BAFTA Awards a cura della British Academy of Film and Television Arts.

I BAFTA sono riservati ai film britannici, ma i criteri non guardano alla nazionalità degli artisti coinvolti nella realizzazione: se la produzione del film coinvolge anche società del Regno Unito, o parte delle riprese si sono svolte sul suolo inglese, il film può concorrere al premio.

In testa alle candidature di quest’anno troviamo “Il ponte delle spie” di Steve Spielberg e “Carol” di Todd Haynes, entrambi con nove nomination incluse quelle come miglior film e miglior regista.

A seguire “The Revenant” di Alejandro G. Iñárritu con otto nomination, “Mad Max: Fury Road” di George Miller con sette (quasi tutte nelle categorie tecniche), “Brooklyn” di John Crowley e “The Martian” di Ridley Scott con sei.

I candidati come miglior film sono “La grande scommessa” di Adam McKay, “Il ponte delle spie” di Steven Spielberg, “Carol” di Todd Haynes, “The Revenant” di Alejandro G. Iñárritu e “Spotlight” di Tom McCarthy,

La cerimonia di premiazione si terrà a Londra il 14 febbraio 2016.
